Categorical False Advertising

Due to neck issues, I need a firm pillow, and after seeing multiple advertisements for My Pillow, including full-page ads in the NY Times, called the toll-free number, explained my need, and was assured by the operator that I would be sent the firmest pillow. (There's a color code which My Pillow uses.) WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE I received. Not only was the pillow not "firm," it was softer than anything I currently use. Moreover, it struck me as being cheaply made, and no better than anything which I could buy locally -- at a lower price. As far as I'm concerned, My Pillow is all hype, and a borderline consumer fraud. Alas, after the fact I mentioned this incident to several people, one of whom stated that she also had ordered a product from My Pillow, and also thought it was junk. In her case, she said that she didn't bother to spend her time writing a review, and simply used the My Pillow product as another floor pad for her dog. My first mistake: I never took the time to research the reviews of this product, and I hope that my irritating experience with this overblown, falsely-advertised product will save others from ordering this junk and having a similar headache PS: I now have to go through the effort of buying a carton in which to return the product (as it came in shrink-wrap packaging), and then paying to return it. I guess everyone is different as I had a different experience. I was having neck pain for over 3 years and after ordering my pillow, I no longer have any pain.

I use to wake up in so much pain and couldn't even turn my neck. I am now..........PAIN FREE!

I have pillows; ordered Q size mattress cover

I bought 2 pillows, one for me, one for my husband, and got a small travel pillow. He liked his right from the start. Mine was too full. Within the 60 day warranty period I took it to a My Pillow store to exchange it for a less fluffy one. This second one is better for my neck, but I think the in-between one would have been perfect. I was told that I needed to order in advance the in-between size. I became very busy with life and didn't take it back again. I'm happy enough with it. It's the best pillow I've had in a long time. Sometimes I just use the travel-size pillow. I switch btw the two. Several months ago I ordered a queen mattress cover, thinking I was going to get a queen sized bed for my spare room. In the end, I didn't get the bed. I had never opened the box. On about day 58 from when I received the order, I called and got a return merchandise number and returned the box to a local My Pillow store. She told me that I had 7 days (or so - I can't remember exactly - might have been 10) to bring it in, which would have been past 60 days (the warranty). But that was ok since I had called in the allotted time and got the RMA number. So I returned the unopened box within the timeframe she told me. The store manager told me I'd get my full refund in 7 - 10 days. Well, she was wrong. At about 21 days later, I called to find out about my refund. I was told that it takes 30 days and that I'd receive my refund on Oct. 8th (a full 30 days after I returned the item). So I waited. On Oct 10th, I called because I couldn't see the credit yet on my card. She told me that it had been set to be paid on the 8th, but that didn't happen. So, then she said I'd get my refund on the 13th and I'd get an email confirmation. On the 14th, I called again because I never got the confirmation email, and I didn't see the credit on my card (and I was nervous about getting refunded based upon the review I saw here). I was told that the refund had been processed on the 13th and it would take 3 - 5 days to see the credit on my credit card (and she would send me a confirmation if I wanted it - I declined, believing the refund would come). Well, I got the full refund credited to my card on the 13th (although I couldn't see it online until the 16th). The way I ordered it included free shipping; and I expected that my refund would include a deduction for the shipping charge. They did NOT charge me a shipping charge. I got back every penny I paid. Although it took a long time, I am happy I got my refund in full. So far, I am happy with all my dealings with this company, although they were slow in refunding.

Terrible experience

This is the WORST company EVER, October 9, 2014 By Rayhana (washington) This review is from: My Pillow As Seen On TV Queen Size Measures: 18.5" X 28" This is the WORST company EVER! I ordered this pillow on august 7th 2014. We didn't like them...as it actually caused my husbands snoring to come back! he hadn't snored in quit a while!...we did every thing on their LONG list of return criteria! and they received my return. It is now october the 9th 2014...I have called them twice.....they said you need to read the small print in their return policy...as they send your return in a month....I just called them and tomorrow on october the 10th 2014 it is suppose to go into my account! Every company I have ever returned anything to...I shop on line 100%.I usually takes at the most 10 days...and on a return label they charge $6.95 .These guys charge 14.95 they wont return sooner than a month! they are extremely rude! I called 2x and both times was treated very badly... and all said..the pillow is horrable it is small pieces of foam and you have to keep putting it in the dryer with a wet cloth to fluff! I LOVE THIS PILLOW, MY PILLOW

I used to wake up several times a night with neck pain, having to adjust my pillows. I have purchased so many different types of pillows over the years and have not had success with any of them. I ordered a My Pillow several years ago. The first night I slept on it was the best night's sleep I had in years. I continue to use this pillow, I LOVE IT, and do not ever want to do without it. It has made all the difference to me and literally changed my life, because now I no longer wake with neck pain all night long and in the morning I am free of neck pain. I does seem to get a bit warm sometimes, but I still love this pillow.

I noticed that the my pillow was very lummpy it would flaten out. As i laided on it and i had to punch and fluff it toget comfabule it caused my head and face toget hot and sweet like someone poored a glass of watter in my face, the only thing moore unconfutble is.a jacket balled up. It's a matter of preference I think. I, myself, think that the "lumps" or soft clumps as I prefer to call them actually contribute to the comfort.

I fluff and form mine for my nightly comfort and don't seem to have to do it again.

It doesn't seem to flatten out too much for me. It might be that my neck pain is nowhere near as bad as yours or as bad as the others with negative reviews of My Pillow.

I am in so much pain!!!

My brother-in-law swears by this pillow. He is the sweetest kindest guy and bought my husband and I each a My Pillow. My husband has been battling T cell lymphoma for 4 years now and quite often has trouble sleeping. I have trouble sleeping also. Last night I very happily went to bed and as my brother advised I set aside my other pillows to just use this My Pillow. First off I noticed that it was very lumpy. I kept waking up and readjusting the pillow because it was making my neck sweat. It is also very lumpy, but I thought it was just me being picky. About 2 a.m. I just could not sleep. I tossed and turned and finally fell asleep about 4 a.m. I woke up at 6 a.m. with a sharp pain in my shoulder. I sat up and as I did my neck and shoulders felt horrible. I tried to massage my own neck but the pain is radiating down my arms. I went to get Ibuprofen and sat down in my living room recliner and cried from the pain. It's 7:12 a.m. and after 800 mg of Ibuprofen I am still in pain. It has been hard to type this review because the pain makes it hard to move. I am so thankful my husband didn't try out his new pillow yet. He has suffered enough from chemo and radiation side effects and I don't want a mere pillow to cause him pain. I was so excited to receive this pillow as a gift. The excitement went with the pain. How do I tell my kind, well meaning brother-in-law we don't want to use his generous expensive gift?

My neck and shoulders hurt worse than before I bought this scam of an item

The pillow bunches up on the sides and I am constantly waking up to readjust to my head. I have a stiff neck and have had nothing but sleepless nights since I bought this. I have been reluctant to return it and now I am reading about all of these people who are having the same issues as mine. I can't believe I paid almost 90.00 for this thing. If I have to I will contact the attorney general and file a legal complaint, also with the BBB. This man is making millions of dollars on all of us and he should be stopped. They should have a prepaid shipping label to print and use for shipping this thing back.

MyPillow won't be My Pillow. NO THANKS!

It is purely wrong that they are holding on to people's refund monies until a 30-day time spectrum has passed and are reaping from the interest. When I asked the customer service clerk why it took that long and she said it was "an accounting arrangement". I see exactly what they're doing and it is not very professionally ethical- in my opinion. Poor pillow. Poor Return Policy. Poor conducting of business. After I was displeased with the pillow - foam-filled bag, I realized what everyone else was dissatisfied with. Taught me an important lesson - to DISREGARD CRAPFOMERCIALS. There's something to be said for buying a product at a store (not having to pay their cost to ship it to you & you pay to have to ship it back when you're unhappy) If you can touch something right away and take it back right away, it is a better return arrangement. Shame on your company. You definitely AREN'T going to be "MyPillow". I'll find something to solve my headaches, neck-aches which is much more legitimate. "YourPillow" sucks.

Bait and switch

I purchased this pillow because the owner Mike Lindell claims it to be the "world's greatest pillow". It is the "world's WORST pillow". It is lumpy and goes flat. I called and was told that I could do a warranty exchange so I did so once though "I" had to pay to ship it back there. The same thing happened again. Again I was told I could do a warranty exchange though I refused because I was NOT going to pay to ship this piece of *** back to get another piece of ***. Heck my dog won't even sleep on this pillow. I returned it for a refund and was told that it would take 30 days to refund my money. WHAT???? They of course take the money out right away but unlike other companies who have your refund back within 10 business days they hold onto your money until the last minute so they can keep gaining interest on it. I know how this system works. I was happy to know that it is an american based company though they are the worst american based company. Buyer beware!!!!!!!

Hi, thanks everyone for the reviews that you are putting up about the pillows, I suffer with headaches which causes me to have minor strokes and was thinking about getting this pillow in New Zealand at a cost of $149.00. After reading some of your reviews I will keep looking, thanks heaps for saving me the money as being a solo mum and working 3 jobs money is tight.

I am sorry you guys are having trouble with your pillows and getting refunds.

Remember you don't have to have the receipt, just need to prove you paid for it and credit cards have records. Good luck everyone in finding the perfect sleeping pillow.

it is horrible.....like sleeping on dozens of lumps that never conform, that is all b/s...and it costs a fortune to send back even if u want to try another to see if you got errant one, then pay again to ship it back....I have three in all, gave the other two to my grandchildren, they can sleep on anything....but, I have had many sleepless nights because it has caused a sore on my ear.._(I can only sleep on my right ear because of abdominal surgery I had ) and I have no choice...I am typing right now because I had to leave my bed because not only is my ear hurting from the sore this pillow has made on it...but, my right eye is swollen...can they do anything else to me ?????????

Mold

We bought two pillows and found them to be fairly comfortable. We washed them and dried them just as they suggested at least every four months. We went away and stored them in a zip lock bag for a month. When we returned and removed the pillows they were full of mold. The pillows were in a cool closet and no moisture could have gotten in.Have no idea how this could have happened as we also had other pillows stored in the same closet in the same manner and had no mold on them ? I called My Pillow and they asked if i tried washing the mold out ???????

It's not possible that moisture got into the zip-lock bags. You didn't dry them properly.

You can contest this verbally till the end of time and you'll still be wrong. I'm no fan of My Pillows, (I purchased one for my wife and she tossed it after the first night). But you need to know you're wrong here.

There's no magic happening in your home. You simply didn't dry the pillows.

Obviously the pillows were NOT thoroughly dried before you put them in a zip lock bag.This is not a problem with the pillows ...it is a problem caused by the owners and how they stored the pillows.

Not to mention, as I observe, the reviewer lives in Tampa. I'm a native Floridian and also live in that area.

There is no such thing as a humid-free closet in Florida unless you have a dehumidifier nearby or in the closet itself.

In fact, if the pillows were stored on the floor, there is no doubt they would get substantial mold even in a zip lock-style bag.
