If you attempt to get a refund on your purchase and customer service gives you the run around, contact your credit card company. They have your back and will likely put the charge on hold until the dispute is settled.
Believe me I've had successful experiences with my various credit cards and companies that misrepresented.
You may need to put your claim in writing, but that's easy. Just be sure to express all of you attempts to resolve the problem with no success.
